Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to all employees, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, data backups, and security patches.
- Collaborate with Principal, Operations to plan and implement IT projects, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of audiovisual equipment used in multimedia exhibits and installations.
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives by implementing best practices and assisting in the management of security protocols.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to the company’s IT systems.
- Train employees on proper usage of technology and software applications as needed.

- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support when required.
- Work in our McLean, VA office 3-4 days a week to manage our IT infrastructure and testing hardware.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years working as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Solid knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware components, and software applications.
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and security practices.
- Experience with audiovisual equipment setup and maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Interest in multimedia, storytelling, and cultural exhibits is desirable.
