The new Daniels Fund JA Dream Accelerator opens today at the Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain Free Enterprise Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Dream Accelerator is an innovative interactive education space centered on career exploration and entrepreneurial characteristics.
Working closely with Junior Achievement and Gallagher & Associates, Cortina Productions produced an introduction film, five interactive experiences, a wayfinding tablet application, and a student management system with facilitator control.
“The JA Dream Accelerator inspires high school students to consider their path towards success through an immersive and interactive experience. We are thrilled with what this project will do for Colorado students – already students, teachers, and school district leaders are blown away!” says Jill Hrnicek, Vice President of Programs for Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain. “The Cortina team has been instrumental in elevating the vision we had for the JA Dream Accelerator. The team seemed to have unlimited reserves of creativity to make a great idea even better. Everyone that we worked with at Cortina was committed to our project, very talented both creatively and technically, and acted with professionalism. And they were lots of fun to work with!”
While visiting JA Dream Accelerator, visitors watch a short introductory film to get excited and prepared for their experience. They are then sorted into groups and given tablets to guide them through the experience as well as collect key data and takeaways from each station. Five unique stations allow visitors to match their interests with their strengths; determine their lifestyle expectations to set realistic goals for the future; discover Colorado visionaries and learn from their accomplishments; participate in real-world decision making around what it takes to run a business; and learn more about various career clusters and their associated traits to develop and pursue education and career goals. A state-of-the-art and supportive environment, Dream Accelerator helps visitors shape their future and understand realistic expectations by encouraging reflection on what matters most to them.
