Outbreak: New Smithsonian Exhibit Opens

Cortina Productions is proud to have partnered with the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History on “Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World.” The new exhibit explores the relationship between humans, animals, and their environments in regards to the cause and spread of infectious diseases. Cortina Productions designed and produced four films and three interactives for the temporary exhibit, highlighted by a multiplayer interactive that allows visitors to roleplay three different professions to learn how they each have a significant role in determining the origin and limiting the spread of a new disease. Cortina also produced multiple videos and interactives that examine the origin and spread of various viruses including SARS, HIV/AIDS, and Influenza.

“Outbreak” will be open at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History through May of 2021.
