For over a decade, Alex has been an integral part of Cortina, bringing exceptional visual storytelling to life through cinematography and production expertise. As Director of Photography, he plays a key role in shaping the aesthetic and narrative impact of our work, translating ideas from script to screen with creativity, precision, and technical mastery.

Working closely with the Creative Director and project directors, Alex makes critical artistic and technical decisions that define the tone and mood of each production. From selecting camera equipment to designing lighting setups and determining shot composition, he ensures that every element supports the creative vision.

Alex is actively involved in pre-production, collaborating with directors and producers to develop compelling visual strategies that align with both creative goals and production logistics. His attention to detail and inventive problem-solving are essential to keeping shoots on schedule and on budget.

In addition to his cinematography and pre-production work, Alex is part of Cortina’s post-production team. As an editor, he assembles footage into cohesive, emotionally resonant stories, applying his strong sense of timing and narrative rhythm. He also creates motion graphics, animations, simulations, and immersive audio designs to enhance the viewer experience.

Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema with a minor in Broadcast Journalism and Business from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014.
