Earl Scruggs Center

The Earl Scruggs Center: Music and Stories from the American South is located within the historic 1907 Shelby Courthouse in the Central Shelby Historic District in Shelby, North Carolina. Cortina Productions’ work for the Museum included five interactive exhibits, two digital signage systems, five audio exhibits, one digital slideshow, and two custom content management systems (CMS). In addition, Cortina Productions produced a microsite featuring originally produced audio recordings of honored authors and musicians. Through a range of interactive exhibits, visitors can learn about the life story of five-string banjo master Earl Scruggs and the influence that the history and culture of the Piedmont region has had on the rich musical traditions of the south.
