Cortina Productions' 2016 Interns

It is summer time at Cortina Productions, which means intern season is in full swing. As part of our robust internship program, Cortina Productions employs interns from all over the nation in each of our four main departments: production, programming, design/animation and business. These interns aid the Cortina staff on everything from interactive media and film editing to marketing and on-site installations.

Please say “hello” to some of Cortina Productions’ 2016 interns.

Amorati-Alex

Alex Amorati – Production

Alexandra Amorati is in her final year at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. After Cortina’s visit to the ETC, she became excited about the work Cortina had done in the past and interested in helping with similar projects for the summer. She hopes to gain experience producing content for location-based interactive experiences. Alex aims to work as a themed entertainment producer in the future.

Travis Kevin Barriteau – Production

Travis Kevin Barriteau is a native of Washington, D.C. For as long as he can remember, watching movies has always been a magical experience. Over his career he plans to direct and produce stunning, magnificent films like the ones he experienced growing up. With his final semester at Morehouse College fast approaching, he was looking for a creative, hands-on environment that offered both industry experience and mentorship. When researching summer internships, Travis came across Cortina Productions’ past projects. He immediately knew it would be the right place for him. Once he has graduated from Morehouse, Travis plans to pursue a masters degree in digital film production.

Alain Bruno – Programming

Alain Bruno is a senior at the Art Institute of Washington working to obtain his bachelors in visual and game programming. As one who strongly enjoys the creative process, Alain found his passion in programming in high school. At the end of his second year at the Art Institute, Alain began his internship at Cortina with the goal to learn what it means to be a unity developer in a multimedia industry. He also wanted to be a part of the cool projects Cortina works on. Hoping to eventually find his way into the video game industry, Alain desires to learn to create special experiences that everyone can enjoy.

Fall-Ben

Benjamin Fall – Editing

Benjamin Fall is a senior at American University where he is working towards a degree in film and media arts. While at Cortina, Ben hopes to learn more about the process of creating a film, from planning and pre-production to client feedback and setting the final touches. He also looks to grow into a better editor by refining his editing and animation skills throughout his internship experience. Ben aspires to become a film editor at a production company similar to Cortina Productions.
